That does not establish that every dark line is removable metal transfer. A photograph, a fingernail check or the age of the sink is not enough to guarantee a diagnosis. Record when the mark appeared and what contacted the area, without turning a possibility into certainty.
If you see a chip, a sharp damaged edge or an area that seems to be losing its finish, stop treating it as ordinary surface soil and ask the manufacturer for assessment. A harder scrub is not a substitute for identifying damage.

Check both the cleaner and the contact material
A compatible liquid does not make every applicator suitable. The abrasive face of a kitchen sponge, a scouring pad and a soft cloth are different tools. Read the manufacturer’s instruction for the contact material as carefully as the bottle label.

Do not let protective accessories create a new care issue
